I grew up near you (Woldingham). Interestingly, the "Caterham" cars, and Lotus, share common roots with the Tesla Roadster; and the on-the-road feel of the cars is very similar. No power steering, low to the ground; a great 'drivers' car.

Unfortunately, my Thunder Gray roadster is in Hong Kong at the moment, so a little far for you to travel for. There are a number of Roadsters still on the roads in UK, so hopefully you'll find someone close by.
