Roof Glass Color

As you can see in the comparison click of two Model 3's the tint on the roof glass is weirdly different. Anyone else noticed this? The temperature inside both the cars is the same and so is the exterior.

It's not the tint, it's the way light refracts between the water drops and the UV coating (car on the right). My S turns yellow the same way.

As for the car on the left... maybe Tesla switched to a different UV coating material or process. Or somehow a car got through production without the UV coating.

I am reminded of the various Model S windshield changes (coatings/masked areas).

Interesting. Conceivable they changed something above - the question being what(s)...

Weren’t they having issues with stress cracks at one time. Maybe they switched glass suppliers?

Yes I did. and the color did not change based on the viewing angle.

The one on the left is the 6K VIN and right one is around 2k.

Yes, but what's all that bright reflective stuff on the ground? And spattered on all those nice new cars, too.

My 3 in the 98xx range has a red tinge but up close can look bluish with red. My car is red so I don't know if the tint changes depending on the color (I doubt it).

They are their own glass suppliers

Our early vin looks Red in the morning light with water condensation. Do u have the vin numbers of the two cars?

Could one car have aftermarket window tinting and the other not?

They use it for their solar roof, model 3, semi and new roadster, but i don't know if there are any differences between them.
