I finally received M3 Roof Rack after along wait.
I installed rack precisely as the instructions said. I carried my Sea kayak (17 ft) and Cargo box with out any trouble. Then when I went paddle boarding I noticed the glass was cracked as the picture indicates. I have sent 3 messages to TESLA without a response.

I know you said you installed precisely as per instructions....but how much did you torque the bolt down to? I’m curious because from what I’ve heard others that have installed theirs...it seems most didn’t torque theirs down to spec...as it seemed too much.

its interesting to me given how much of the rack doesn't actually sit on the glass (mostly on the pillar). it makes me wonder if the bars were overloaded (bending in the center) to cause this and/or the bars aren't rated high enough to carry substantial weight.

regardless, i do feel like it's something tesla should address either way.

Might not just be weight, depending on the shape of the object on the rack might be aero induced additional loads that might lead to bending forces.

Tesla service finally responded to my emails and set up service appointment for yesterday. They replaced the rear window and will reinstall the roof rack next week after the adhesive is cured. This will not cost me anything. In the future, I will not carry paddleboard in the same way in the future as I think that the torque of the wind trying to lift the board did the damage.
Anyway, Tesla did the right thing with a smile on their face.
