Has anyone had any issues strapping a large standup paddle board to the MY roof racks? I feel like that would rip the racks right off at freeway speeds.
They good for 160 lbs . There is metal brackets under the glass they they attach
to . Its the glass I worry about. Posts on the 3 board shows they work but I wonder
what the range hit is with load I have already seen the reviews that say the rack
isn't much or a range hit . And there was review with a Rocket Pod on top from
some Swedish or Norwegian guy. I have seen 3 's with racing SUP's on top.
The Tesla roof racks are made by Yakima, so they will hold up. The brackets hook to the car frame, below where the window is attached (says so in the directions: "Don't worry..."). My question is, has anyone used a tie-down?
