Do employees get discount on Tesla?

Wish they could put some in the showroom.

No discount for employees, showroom cars probably won't appear until 2-3 months after initial delivery

"Typically" there are not discounts for employees.
There have been several times when employees get free FSD on a new purchase. I have not heard if they have any such incentive for the Y.

I actually got two separate contacts from Tesla asking me to consider a 3 last week. Led with "I see you have a reservation on a Model Y..." and proceeded to reference current availability, plus a lower cost than the Y. Interesting.

Wish they could put some in the showroom.

Better to have them out and about, than in a showroom. They a mobile advertisements for the Model Y. And will generate a ton of social media posts ("I saw Model Y in the wild!!!") and youTube videos that will get millions of views. All for $0.00 in advertising costs to Tesla!

Also, any early production bugs can be solved "behind closed doors" by other employees, rather than getting social media and youTube ("My Model Y sucks!") posts.
