Noticed a couple of rusting spot welds in the trunk area while washing the Model Y this weekend. Anyone else have this issue? Maybe it's not rust but something else? Looking for ideas on how to fix.

Did that. They hit it with some touch up paint.Bring it to a service center. Don’t try to repair that yourself.

Doesn't look like it. I would have expected them to remove some paint, treat the rust and then paint over it. We'll see how it holds up...or not over the next winter.Good to know. Did they do anything else to it first to make sure it won't just bubble up again?

So, I’m not the only one with this issue. I found similar rust on my 2022 MY trunk area, on weld that was covered with what appears to be caulking. Also, noticed caulking in the panel gap between license plate and rear camera panels, I’m afraid to find out what’s underneath the caulking. Taking it for service tomorrow, will update here.Noticed a couple of rusting spot welds in the trunk area while washing the Model Y this weekend. Anyone else have this issue? Your pics are very small, like 14 kilobytes, so it's hard to see the details. So, I’m not the only one with this issue.
