I got a text over the weekend saying that the preorder for my configuration, a RWD 3-row Model Y, will be cancelled due to it not being available until 2022. Anyone else get something like this? On my Tesla account, it says that my preorder has been cancelled and the refund is in the works. 2022 is a long time away...
Wow, i wonder if those rear end accident photos had anything to do with it. Perhaps the cabin reinforcements needed were not cost viable? or too heavy and impacted range?
You should have bought $2,500 of TSLA instead, it must have been around $200 or $300 at that time....
Watching with interest. I have a white rwd 7-seat reservation. Willing to buy AWD but won't buy anything with less than 6 seats.
I have a 7 seat AWD reservation that is still active. Did you reach out to Tesla for more information? Confirm its just RWD being canceled?
I believe the 5 seats RWD were converted by Tesla into AWD, so I was surprised about the message sent by Tesla to @likeafox ?
Doing a test drive of MY AWD 5-seat this weekend. Talked to the advisor locally and he didn't know anything about RWD or 7-seat being cancelled. Just said they didn't know when, maybe earlier next year.
Sent a message through the website to Tesla about the text message they sent. I expect I'll hear back from them sometime before the next century. Rereading the text message, it does say "due to you not being available until 2022". I wonder if I had to update something online to confirm I was still interested? Although I never got any correspondence asking for any info. We'll see when I hear back.
Right, my latest comment addresses this. I did not initiate a cancellation, but I got this text message. I'm not sure if I was required to do something to keep my reservation active. I have sent a message to Tesla to clarify.
