S vs X Matrix LED headlights

Anyone know why the refreshed S production has had Matrix LED headlights for more than a month and the X hasn't gotten them yet? Are the S and X both produced in Fremont? So shouldn't they share many common supply chain and integration lines?

Because they have not re-tooled the production line for the X yet. That means halting production, which would be silly since they just started cranking them out to fill the enormous backlog.

Does anyone have any news on X matrix headlights? Maybe someone on the forum who has some hookups inside can shed some light on when the Model X could possibly get the matrix headlights ?

So I recently reached out to a company (Ingenext) who were able to push plaid beyond 200 MPH thinking they must know more than a avg third party vendor modifying car.

Ask em to look into offering retrofit of matrix headlights as a service maybe.

They just got back to me.
