SAE Combo CCS to charge a Tesla M3

I was at a DC fast charging station (50Kwh) and it has the CCS plug. I tried plugging my Tesla J1772 adapter to it but it won't fit because the bottom part of the adapter is being blocked by the CCS plug. I think I can remove the lower notch with a dremel and it would fit just fine, being held onto by the upper latch. Has anyone tried charging a Tesla with the Combo CCS plug before? Do they sell one online? Please advise...

Seems the problem is that Tesla is not designed to talk with the CCS.

Non-North American vehicles communicate with CCS: Model 3s have the CCS2 socket, and Model S/Xs can get a upgrade of internal hardware along with a CCS2 adaptor to enable the same. So such an upgrade is possible, it's just whether Tesla want to make a North American version of the adaptor or not (a slightly different adaptor will need to be built for North America because of the variation in sockets).
