    Interesting. The write-up makes it seem like there's not much wrong with it, but if it were totaled, there might be something nasty hiding in there.

    I don't have any proof of this, but I think every day the "Hacking a Tesla" thread is adding value to salvaged Tesla's.

    That car used to be mine. It was declared totalled, but just had some front end damage and a broken suspension arm on the right rear wheel. I could tell you the entire history--up until I last saw the car on July 5, 2014.

    Incidentally, there's a little bit of cosmetic damage on the car (like the dented front quarter panel) that was *not* there after the accident!
