Well, I just pulled the trigger. It's going to be a P85 Grey Tan interior with a pano roof and air suspension.
I'm going to take delivery in January so I will get a 2015 model. That will also get me time to integrate the new features coming out late August and October.
Maybe I'll take the factory delivery in Fremont CA.
That will be a fun trip back to San Antonio. Hopefully the superchargers are installed by then.

For example, our first Model S was a 2012 and we received it January 9. Might want to double check if you want a 2015.

Looking around the forum here I saw several posts saying that, so I asked my rep. He said that it was possible to get the paperwork done for TX and pay our %6.25 sales tax and drive the car back home.
I will have to investigate this some more and I will keep you posted.

Any really good installers in the area that do full body XPEL Ultimate wraps? Also Photosync. Have a friend who is getting his car next month. Picking up the car in Austin so may get it done there but San Antonio would work better of course.

Thanks for the warning. The DS said that if I take delivery by the 3rd week of January I should be ok. But they noted that I wanted a 2015 model.
Now comes the hard part. Waiting!

I hear 360 Tint is good. I haven't tried them myself but I read many good reviews of them. They are located on the north side of the Loop 1604 near the 281.

Minor update on Service Center in San Antonio

I just spoke with the future manager of the Tesla Service Center in San Antonio and he indicated that they have selected a location for the service center but they are working with the city to get it re-zoned to support their needs.

Awesome - They had implied to me 281 and 1604, does it still look like that?

When I talked to him, he would not say where the new service center would be. He did say it would be a galleria too.

Hi Cattledog, yes it is still planned for the 281 and 1604 area. He did mention that the city might decide to NOT alter the zoning for Tesla so it could change at some point but it's moving forward at this time.

Firewired - Absolutely jealous, totally want a ride in that car when it gets in. We'll throw a delivery party for you at our house - did that for dsm363 when a couple days after he got San Antonio's first Tesla.
