I just took my Model 3 in for service a couple weeks ago to Oceanside and when I made that appointment, I don't recall seeing that Kearny Mesa had opened. Now it looks like it is and appointments are already booking 2 weeks in advance (compared to 3 weeks for Miramar and 1 week for Oceanside). I know this has been long awaited to take the strain off Miramar. When I took delivery a year ago, my delivery specialist said that the Kearny Mesa location was "coming in a few months," so true to Tesla time, a year seems about right.

Has anyone been yet? Judging from the appointment times available, it looks like they are limiting availability to every 30 minutes right now instead of every 15 minutes as they are getting ramped up.

Yes, it's open.
Based on second hand experience, the center closes earlier and more complex jobs are being sent to Miramar... But, more capacity and sooner appointments. Thanks to Tesla for stepping up in San Diego with now three service centers and nearly 100 supercharger stalls (pending Carmel Valley opening)... Huge improvement from 1 and 12 just a year ago.

I made my appointment for July 5, which was about 3 weeks lead time. I made the appointment because my 1-month old Model 3 sometimes makes a squeal when I reverse out of my garage onto the sloped driveway. I don't know if it's brakes or reverse gear (does it even have a gear?!). Will I have to sit and wait while they check it out or do they give us a loaner? Or should I have someone follow me there?

So I had selected Kearny Mesa as delivery center for a used model S but was just told that kearny mesa packed up shop and moved everything to Carlsbad. I don't know if that is both the service and delivery center, or just the delivery center part as we were only talking about delivery

The Oceanside service center is (was) my closest SC, and they moved that SC to Carlsbad. Additionally, the Carlsbad SC is also a Delivery center, and the people in Oceanside told me Kearny Mesa would be closed. They didnt tell me when, but it sounds like Deliveries would be at the new Carlsbad location now.

The service center at Kearny Mesa is open.. they just stopped doing deliveries. There are 3 service centers in SD: Miramar, Kearny Mesa, and Carlsbad
San Diego folks can now take deliveries at the new delivery centers in Miramar (not the service center) or Carlsbad
