Satin Black Gemini Wheels

Black 2022 Model Y LR with satin black powder coated Gemini wheels.

I didn’t find many pics of this when I was deciding (none on a black car), so I thought I would share my results.

I really like this! Did you do it yourself or have it done? How much did it cost? I'm planning on painting the covers, but love the wheels so much more.

No curb rash protection… . I had them powder coated at a wheel repair shop close by. It was expensive… $250/wheel… but that seems like the going rate in my area.

I plastidipped my last car’s wheels and it looked great for a few years, but then it started peeling and I never bothered to fix it. I didn’t want to cheap out on such an expensive car.

So when I ordered the thinking was… save the $2k and not get the Induction wheels and spend $1k on the powder coat. Better ride and better range.

I considered the black wheel covers…which I think look pretty darn good… but could not get over seeing silver behind the covers.
