screen discoloration

I've got my LCD replaced the second time in September and the yellow discoloration has began developing again....

Looks just like my MS screen. I've since put it in night mode until a fix is found. It's too disconcerting for me to focus on those damn yellow borders.

I also put mine in night mode 27/7 , I like this look in the car way better that the daytime mode and I find it easy to read the street names as well

Took delivery of my 2018 MS 75D and this too has the yellow band around the center screen. Scheduled an appointment but haven’t heard back from my SC if I am to not bring it in as its a known issue.

Wow on a 2018 already! My service centre told me new 'fixed' screens are due around March / April and told me not to bother getting mine replaced yet as it will just happen again. Night mode makes it tolerable.

Here is a close up. It’s definitely visible along all 4 sides. If there is indeed a fix coming I will just cancel my appointment.

I have a July 18 M-S with this issue. I spoke to the tech and they said they were coming out with a new solution some time this year, and were not going to replace screens until the new solution was available.

My car was parked in the Vegas heat for 2 months before I purchased it, and was delivered like this.

I don't know who supplies the MCU to Tesla but someone is going to be up for some pain to cover the cost of all these in warranty screens getting replaced.

I'll chime in as they FINALLY got my screen in about 2 weeks ago, and 1 week ago I got a call from the SC suggesting I wait until a permanent fix is ready, but he said August or September. I kinda wonder if they are trying to keep us appeased until they really do have a fix for this. No offense to Tesla, but I'll believe it when I see it...

(also, you seemed surprised this was already happening on a 2018. I have a Feb 2018 build, March 2018 received S75D and it went bad by September)

Wow I started this thread back in August, 2017 and I can't believe in 2019 we are still having this stupid issues. Tesla...I love your cars but this is ridiculous!

June 2017 MX100D. Just noticed the issue for the first time this morning. The early part of the thread got me reassured with screens being replaced and all but it now looks like another one of those ‘fix is coming’. I have the acceleration shudder issue for which we’ve been told a fix is coming for a quite while. Now we’re being told a fix is coming for the yellow screens... Am a huge Tesla fan (also have a 3) but this is scaring me wrt to aging cars and difficulty having issues addressed.

Stopped by the SC and was told they were aware of the issue and that a permanent fix would t be available until end Q1/beginning Q2. Not a big issue but it is a bit of an eye sore.

I wrote in another thread this afternoon that I did not have this issue but now not sure after examining some screenshots after reading this thread.

I think there is a yellowing on the upper left corner near “Navigate”. I probably would not have noticed it except for this thread. LOL!

Hard to tell but it looks like its starting show up on the bottom of the screen (directly below where it says "Range Mode"). Best way to see it is on a light/white background like while in "sketch pad" mode or switch your map off of satellite mode.

Don't go out of your way to find a flaw. Once you see it you will notice it all the time!

I drove a loaner S 75 and it developed the yellow border on the MCU2. It would have been around 250k VIN and 2018. Clearly still a big issue.

I started getting the yellow halo top left upper of the screen after 1mo with the car. I scheduled apt and they called me today saying that they'll check it out but replacement wont solve it, its firmware and later this year fix. 2018 100D

BS "it's firmware". It's the screen glue. Unbelievable they tell this BS to people. It's a hardware issue, turn off the car and you can still see it. Nothing to do with software, so it cant be fixed in software.
