Has anyone tried installing this themselves? Specifically Model X AP1?

I placed an order but I had to cancel it because I was told by Beat Sonic that the installation is very difficult for the MX AP1. The center console would need to be removed.

I have AP 2.5, but i ordered this a LONG time ago and have yet to receive it.
