Unfortunately it’s not that simple. Even if you find a good reputable local broker, all they do is get bids and coordinate things. You don’t have much (or any control) of the actual carrier or driver that wins the bid. That said, a good reputable broker is good because they have good communication skills, experience, guarantees, and probably a pool of drivers they’ve used before at least on common routes.

Other option is to use a service like uship and be your own broker and solicit your own bids. Then you can review the feedback for individual carrier companies and drivers.

I’ve used Metti Transport (Vehicle Shipping in Los Angeles & San Diego) several times and have been happy with their service.

We recently used CS Transport out of Springfield, Mass (L.A. to Maine) and they did a great job. Not enclosed, but the car arrived in perfect condition (and two days early). There is more than one CS Transport, but we used the one from Springfield.
