Still, I often get better results via Google. The webcrawlers seem to pickup anything posted here within an hour.

That was a well kept secret! After manually searching based on the link I finally found that I have to go into a forum before I can access it from the sub-forum header bar. I've been looking for it on the top level home page and only ever found the standard "search box".
With that said, might be worth including Google Site search as an option. Many forums do it (while keeping their built in search) and earn a bit of change from it as well.

I think that is unusual / atypical.

The current search works ok, but I wish it didn't pick up on words in people's profile and signature and such. Like when I search for napa hotels with charging, I see a bunch of stuff referring to napabill's location as "napa"
