Seat adjustment not working on driver seat

In the beginning of owning the model 3 I used the fatguy mode for the seats. so they went back when parked, and forwards after I had taken a seat. After a few months I could hear the seat motor making weird noises, so I stopped using it.

Now, my driver seat cannot be adjusted in one direction anymore. I cannot take it forwards/backwards, however up and down works. I can hear the sound of the motor, but it sounds like two gears are not connecting. Is this a DIY fix or under warranty?

I think there is another post here about the seat being stuck. Might be related?

Check connection under the seat. Sometimes there can be a loose connection that causes the signal to not get to the motor.
