Seat and steering wheel adjustment

I played with this when I got my X, and found (when I was trying Easy Exit) that I had everything set to as high as possible. (Easy Exit was pretty useless when you can't raise the steering wheel... :D ).

This allows me the best visibility, tons more than I had in my BMW 328, and I love it. YVMW. :D The larger car drives much more easily than I ever thought it would....

Seriously, it's all personal preference, try a lot of positions out and see what fits you and your driving style.

Position also depends on how you drive, I suggest two profiles. One for aggressive driving, one for AP. Aggressive needs to be closer to the wheel and more upright (track setting). AP mode will be more laid back for one handed steering (light traffic interstate).
