Seat Belt alerts - Dog on back seat

Hi. When my dog is into the back seats moving around the seat belt icon keeps flashing and beeping. I thought a recent update meant I could silence it but it doesn’t. Anything I can do?

I'm not totally sure about this but I thought when the seatbelt warning graphic is displayed, you can select which seat to silence seatbelt warnings. This might apply only to the back seats.

You could try to hit the seatbelt icon when your dog gets to each position to turn it into a child seat icon.

As should be the case with the dog. They sell short leash attachments that fit into standard seat belts so both the dog and humans are safe.

Just to be sure, did you hit the seatbelt icon that’s on the graphic of your car interior that pops up at the bottom of the screen below the render of your car?

Yes. In the bottom right hand corner of my screen. Under the image of the car. Maybe it is because my dog was moving around. Will try with a box and see what happens.

The rear seats have each have a person in seat simple sensor, like the driver's front seat has. Not the complex one that determines size and weight that the front passenger seat has. Therefore, any weight over a rough threshold and the car thinks someone might be seated. The only work around I can think of without disabling the sensor, would be to put some kind of support over all the seats, to reduce the dog's pressure in the middle of the seat.
