Second Reveal Date

My page says nothing about production, just deliveries, as in:

"Your Model 3 was reserved on 3/31/2016. Deliveries will begin in late 2017. You'll be invited to configure based on the date of your reservation."
Mine says:

"Garlan - you are still going to have to wait another year until you can even think about taking delivery. So.....with that in mind pull all of your hair out in anticipation and don't even consider getting one of those bolt toys"

Wait.....I think I am hallucinating. It doesn't say that.

:(;);)
Anyone noticed that in the mytesla page it's now "The production will start in the BEGINNING of 2017" and not in the middle of 2017 like before or i'm remembering bad and it was always "on the beginning" ?
My Model 3 reservation page states: "Your Model 3 was reserved on 4/1/2016. Deliveries will begin in late 2017. You'll be invited to configure based on the date of your reservation."

Definitely no mention of any cookies. :(

Elon set July, 2017 as the target date internally and for suppliers to be ready for the Model 3. He admitted this date was very aggressive, but he needed this checkpoint to determine the readiness of the supply chain. If a supplier isn't ready by then, Tesla will still have some time to look somewhere else or build the part themselves in order to still meet the "end of 2017" goal for first deliveries. So, if the supply chain only has a remote possibility of being ready by mid-2017, there's absolutely no way complete cars will be ready to ship out 6 months before then.

This is most likely a misunderstanding and/or mistranslation.

Elon said it will be an obvious thing. We don't technically know if its about Model 3... he said those words in Code Conference.

watch 39:40 for about 1 min or so..
That was before the disclosure of josh Browns fatal accident. That accident appeared to have reshuffled things at tesla.

Since then Mobileye ended their deal.. They will now have to speed up the development of their in house alternative to Mobileye.

That reminds me... I'll have to get my Sister-in-Law to bake a batch of cookies to take in when I go to pick up my car. She makes WONDERFUL cookies!

Ah ha, so you get your sister-in-law to bake cookies so that you can bribe the delivery specialist. I'd try the same but the cookies wouldn't make it out of my house and, if they did, they sure wouldn't survive the drive.

Mine says

"Dave, please take Tuesday, November 28th 2017 off, so that we can arrange for the delivery of your shiny new Tesla Model 3.

Thanks for for being a new Tesla customer,

Your Tesla team.

P.S. We'll have cookies here too"

I believed it until I got to the part about the cookies ... :D

I got cookies from Tesla when I was waiting in line for my reservation. It should only be fitting that we get cookies upon deliver too :p

I would be very surprised if Tesla finishes out the year without some new info about M3. I don't think they are going to roll out the whole enchilada, but they will reveal something very compelling to whet our appetites and to keep GM et al saying... "drat, foiled again!"

I'm still wanting very much for Elon Musk to have his, "This, FULLY OPERATIONAL GIGAFACTORY!!!" moment. That's gonna be fun.
