Security doesn't work with Sentry Mode?

I was reading the manual recently and found this odd.
"NOTE: Note: If Model Y is in Sentry Mode (see Sentry Mode on page 142), you must disable Sentry Mode before you can disable the Security alarm or the Tilt/ Intrusion alarm."
Does anyone know why this is? Seems odd to me.

I’m not sure because I never read the manual , but reading the text I would say it’s the other way round, Security must be on when Sentry mode is on.
It makes more sense.

So I had sentry mode on last night and the security button was "greyed out". Maybe it was greyed out "on" instead of greyed out "off". I am going to take a closer look today to see. Thanks for the response!

You cannot have Sentry Mode without Security GR eyed in the on position. What they are saying is the only way to turn off security is to turn off sentry, then you can turn off security. This slays me because I want Sentry without security. I had episode when my wife was traveling that the alarm would NOT stop going off, and the only way to get it to stop was to turn off Sentry mode. Thankfully that hasn’t happened in a while.
