"Nonetheless, until I see a verifiable challenger to the EV throne, I am compelled to believe that Tesla has a very good shot at dominating the EV market for years to come. If that's the case, I fully expect the market cap to increase dramatically from the current $15B, which will be very lucrative for shareholders."

It certainly is not a threat to the Tesla Model S.

But the BMW i3 will apply to a number of people, and that's good. Because it will add it's share to the total % of the already steadily rising market share of EV's, and that's what it's all about: "Acceleration of the Advance of Sustainable Transport" (Elon Musk).

I fully agree and hope that BMW successfully sells many to ICE owners. I am guessing that total EV sales will increase exponentially due to greater exposure with more choices available.

Yes indeed, that's exactly what we need: more available EV models to choose frome.

Yep, the back seat is for 2 only.

I'm wondering when we can do a real comparison (not because they are competitors but just for fun)

Can't wait for the Motor Trend full review :)

    Dear All,
I wonder if the BMW-i3-pizazz that is now overwhelming Europe is good or bad for Tesla?

It for sure is a professional marketing job they are doing.
What is the general opinion here?

Thanks for this pdf! It makes good points to understand the enormous difference between the two cars. However, the i3 marketing is an impressive job. Hopefully, it wil help to convince the public that electric driving is the future.
