premium = both (inside and outside) are coated... only handwash it... apart from that does what it promises.
I received mine today. There is a large gap on both the driver front and passenger front side—basically it’s not flush at all. And when driving highway at speeds you can feel the wind coming inside the cabin at those areas. Anyone else encounter this? Is this normal?
No, not normal. Mine is nicely flush all around. I guess I'd check to be sure it's seated right, and that the four attachment clips are pulled in reasonably tight. Remember, hand-tighten only with the Allen wrench. Long shot question... Are you sure it's the Roadster version, not the one for the Elise? I read somewhere that they are slightly different, but don't know in what regard.
Mine had that as well. With a little push from the outside (thank you my love) I could align it properly. Now is is seamless. You should also tape the small gap! Less wind noise.
Update: I also ordered a visium top directly from Visium Italy. Will be delivered in about 45 days. To be continued.
Holiday delay? Mine was quoted 30 days early this month...hopefully I get an early Christmas present....
So direct & international shipping is cheaper than going through Mr Fiat? What are the prices they charge?
Quoted 2450 EUR delivered for the premium version...I'll update when I get an update on anticipated shipment date (and arrival)...
@im4uttx 30 days is normal. Because of taking other orders he needed aprox 45 days for my order. Now I know 1 of the other orders... PS: I paid EUR 2.000,- for basic version.
I thought Roadster and Elise S2 were directly compatible? The Lotus factory hardtop looks to fit with no issues from other threads. For clear top, I just saw this JAMMOTO not sure if shipping. Anyone tried?
I did what another owner on the forum recommended which was to press firmly on the vision top while placing the screws in...that made the fit much better. There was no specific top for the Roadster.
I just bought a roadster and it came with a visium top. I installed it last thursday. Took a little time but me and my son managed without instructions. It looks and fits great. Haven't driven it al lot so can't tell anything specific on the noise. Be continued
i tried to contact with no response. Sounded like it would have been cheaper than Visium, especially since they were in California . . . maybe the carwash & photoshoot from the May blog post melted the top!
Mine shipped from Italy mid-December (actually 12-17 posted), and has FINALLY.... ....made it to import customs office at JFK/New York.... Well, at least it shows movement for the first time since 12/23 at export office in Italy... Maybe just a few more days???
Hereby an update of receiving the visium top and putting it on. The top was very well packed in a wooden box and a lot of material to keep it safe. Putting it on was easy. And driving with it makes the car feel more spacious. Hereby some pictures:
Mine arrived today...took a few minutes to install it, seemed to have a solid match, here is it installed....
