Seems like I will be getting my Model 3 soon

Got contacted by a delivery specialist today. Was told to apply for loans.
When I replied I had asked some local banks for approvals, which I had months ago, was told I needed a VIN.
Specialist responded with a VIN that she characterized as 'your VIN' for shopping around with.

Anyone else getting contacted so soon?

Ordered as soon as I could Wednesday evening (June 27).
August 26, 2016 reservation.
Located in NW Ohio
(which in my opinion, if trying to squeeze in as many deliveries as possible, seems like location for delivery is a heavy factor on how fast you can get your car... e.g. if trying to get one delivered at a delivery center that is doing 100 a day, might have to wait, or doing one at a delivery center doing 5 a day, will get faster)

PUP, Aero, RWD, no FSD or Autpilot. Deep Blue Metallic.

Same here. Have an HPWC sitting in my garage, still in the box. Car will be in my hands next Tuesday. My plan is to use the ChargePoint stations at work and 'trickle' charge (4MPH) at home as needed until I can get the wall connector installed.

I’m sure they built a *sugar* ton while they were waiting for July 1... it’s fairly simple. A bunch of each color, and if someone wants EAP or FSD that’s a simple thing to do... there weren’t many options available until they opened up the AWD/P.

We might see 100,000 US deliveries in Q3. 25,000 stockpiled + 5k/week for 11 weeks + 20,000 S/X = 100,000 US Deliveries. That leaves about 10 - 15k S/X vehicles for the rest of the world.

No contact, but my "edit design" link disappeared sometime mid-morning. Crossing my fingers for an unexpected gift!

Exact same config as OP. And I'm also in a low-density area for Tesla.

YUUUUP! Received email from ISA that my car has "Completed Final Production!" Now fill out all the financing and trade-in stuff and he'll call me in a day or 2 to schedule delivery. :D

Does anybody know offhand whether the "down payment %" requested in the financing application should or should not include the $3500 already paid and/or expected trade-in value? This is all happening so FAST...

Thanks for the heads up on the "edit design" button disappearing. We ordered our AWD version on 6/26 and my husband commented that there was an edit button there and why would we want to edit if we just ordered. Told him to watch out for when it dissapears.

Nice to see you guys are all getting a surprise earlier than expected and interesting about the July delivery dates. Hoped 200,000 would get pushed to July to make more people happy!

Edit reply button dissapeared overnight . Was kind of hoping to wait until Nov/Dec for delivery but I’m not going to complain! Still have a year lease on my current car so will need to find a way to get rid of it.... no call from ISA or VIN yet.

Does Tesla finance or not? I thought they did.

Does anyone know?

So I got the VIN from the delivery specialist after being told to finalize loan details so that delivery can be set up, and thus applied for the loan (approved). And now crickets.

Basically this was the gist of what was laid out "Once you have confirmed the above, I will be able to submit paperwork and we can discuss delivery details!" As far as I know, everything on my end is good.

Tesla account doesn't have a VIN, which worries me a little. Only record is in the email.

I understand likely busy, but would like at least some idea of when things are going to move again. Seems likely that the holiday will throw off communication as well.

Paranoid due to the end being in sight, or something more?
