Where are you parking where there is, on one hand, enough traffic to fill nearly all of the curbside parking spots but, on the other hand,
little enough traffic you're not holding it up with the car's slow, wide-ranging parking maneuvering?
I have an X1 - it does an "okay" job but Tesla is better. First of all, I have to press a button while driving to even say I'm "looking for a parking space" (actually it's just the same button to enable the parking sensors). Then when it finds a spot I have to press the iDrive selector and feather the brakes, change gears several times from reverse to drive, and put the vehicle into Park at the end to finish it. (I also then have to turn the car off before I leave). Going from the X1 to the Model X is night and day. I've rarely had issues with Autopark and love using it - mostly for parallel parking because the perpendicular parking does too much dry steering for my liking. I've found it very reliable if used properly.

I don't think that was even slower than most people getting into a spot that size (especially if you count the people who'd eventually give up and go park somewhere else).
