Has anyone considered what owning multiple self driving vehicles could be used for?

For example, an owner on a 3 lane highway could use, say, 8 self driving vehicles to form a shield around the vehicle with the passenger(s).
3 self driving vehicles in front, 1 on either side, and 3 in the rear.

Or multiple self driving vehicles could be used to block and slow traffic on a freeway or highway, while the owner travels ahead.

I'm inclined to think self driving vehicles will operate under the control of a cloud based fleet management system. This will make vehicle to vehicle communication easier but crazy uses by owners harder. I don't think a self driving car would make a good getaway car for bank robbers. The police could just order it to go to the station. Running blocking plays with empty self driving vehicles might be OK but it's hard to think Tesla or anyone else would treat creating a feature for it as a high priority. No Fleet Management system is going to allow owners or other parties much access to coding the system for security reasons.

User programmable self-driving feature is just too advanced for this current infancy stage.

For a 2021 best scenario, they would be able to independently navigate from point a to b and they won't be able to coordinate with each other as a swarm, bodyguard team...

Sure, as technology gets better your idea will come true but it will cost lots of resources, talent and time.
