I had delivery of my 2018 X100d yesterday... OMG, what a car!!
My question for the forum is regarding the SPD function in combination with the summon function: I park the car under a carport with the summon function because of the carport pillars: when the car is summoned in the final park position, a pillar is at the level of the front driver door, and prevents the door opening. My issue last night: I prep for overnight charging and just when I am plugging the cable in the car, the driver door pops open and hits the pillar... luckily the pillar is Wood, so there was no damage to the paint, but I would like to prevent this in the future. Obviously, the sensors did not detect the pillar, which is 15cm wide.
Should the SPD function not be switched off automatically when the care has been summoned in its final parking space? I would like to continue using SPD, but not when it summoned/parked. Can I Switch SPD geolocation dependently, like car height?
