Self Referral Possible ?

Read the Tesla FAQ and didn't notice anything about this being excluded.

Did a few quick forum searches and didn't see any clear answers.

If you're buying a second Model 3 / Model Y, etc can you "self" refer and get double miles; assuming the 1000 mile program?

Looking to get a second 3, maybe a Y and wondering if owner can refer themselves for a second car and keep both miles in the family. Both cars would be on my same account though.

Don't know the answer to your question, but if you choose a Y, it doesn't matter, because I just double checked and you can not get a referral on a Y.

It looks like you can't get a self referal on the Model Y but you can on the Model 3. I traded my LR_AWD for a Model 3 Performance on March 20th and received 1000 hrs of free supercharging.

Obviously you didn’t get second 1000 miles on the other car though as it was traded in. Perhaps the next owner will ?

I kind of like the Y better but there are a number of things that bring me back to the 3 I currently have an love.

Usually it’s 1000 miles to the car being purchased and 1000 miles to the car referring.

Fo you still have the other car? Did that car get 1000 miles as well as the 1000 on your new car? Are they both on the same Tesla account?

I referred myself. The referral miles are connected to the account, so you get 2000 miles in total

Oh it goes to the account and you can use it on any car under the account.

oh I’m sorry. My referral was from 2018. I got a black wall charger from my own referral.
