Dear fellow Roadster owners. I'm selling my 2.5 Roadster with 14,600 miles on it. Bought it with 4,500 miles on it and put a new battery in at that time. PEM either replaced or refurbished last year. Infotainment ,CAN Jr and CAN Sr, MC120 and MC240. Awesome condition! See pics in for sale section. I know I need to check the CAC!!
With those numbers, your CAC is likely 150-152. Absolutely beautiful car. Best of luck with the sale! I'll spread the word where I can...
Thanks @DeedWest for spreading the word. You're probably right about the CAC. I need to either plug in a USB or get my lazy tush to replace the old OVMS with the new one!
Old OVMS (with latest firmware) can also get the CAC. You can also get it from the little VDS screen in the car.
The "ESS SOC" screen, from the top-multiple-times-and-enter-not-so-secret-code 'hidden' diagnostics. PM if you need the code.
I don’t think it’s a question of value, I think it’s a question of disposable income, with the question of battery life PEM and foreseeable service issues people just don’t want to take the risk. Personally, mine will never see a SC again, so they still hold value in my eyes, but unless someone is looking for a roadster then eBay is unlikely to draw the kind of attention you desire. I don’t know the answer, it’s finding that one buyer, if I could get Tesla Canada get my parts and make a US roadster Canadian conpliant then Daniels 2.5 would be stuffing here. Instead I got a great deal and can’t wait till next week to bring it home. But if you can hold on, once the model 3 incentives have worn off then maybe the roadster will become more appealing to the masses.
Considered selling mine a couple months back, almost identical spec, and a reputable specialist consignment dealer in FL was telling me he could get min 70k, and we spoke to a couple folks. In the end I decided to keep mine and move it to Virginia with me. Good luck with the auction, the trick is finding the right audience but there are buyers out there.
Thank you for the information Nigel. I do have mixed feelings about selling but I think it's the right thing at this time
