Selling OEM Tyres?

This is a bit of a random one - I want to replace the Hankook S1 evo 3 235/40/19 tyres that came on my M3 and replace them with these all seasons Vredestein Quatrac 5 235/40 R19 96 Y XL » Oponeo.co.uk

However as the tyres on my car only have 1k on them, I would like to get some value from them. Does anyone know if there are people/companies who would buy them? I've had a look but either I'm not searching for the right terms or it's not something that's done. Even visiting the part worn tyre dealer websites, there's nothing about how to SELL them part worn tyres.

I'm a bit paranoid about the RWD on summers. It's not like we have a ton of snow but it does get cold and icy where I am and I've had some dicey experiences on FWD cars with summer tyres. I don't push summer tyres hard so these seemed like a good compromise to the £15-1800 it would take to get a set of dedicated winter wheels and tyres.

Anyone out there that can help?

Many people have sold their lightly used tires here. You could also list them on Craigslist (or the UK equivalent) as it's quite likely that those tires would fit a variety of other makes.

I am sure you will get something for them but not a huge amount as used tyres are worth very little due to safety risks

I think there is a chance that you may do better selling the tyres on the 19" rims then going with your choice of wheel combo and making someone wanting 19" wheels happy in the process.

I’d try Gumtree. I have had better luck recently on there rather than use eBay which used to be my preferred selling option

Thanks all - I'll give Gumtree a shot then eBay.

I've actually grown quite fond of the wheels now so I don't really want to sell them if I can help it so let's see if Gumtree will work.
