We saw the Tesla Semi at the Kettleman City SC! 1 of only 2 in existence! The driver sits in the middle of the cab flanked by two M3 landscape screens. The two engineers who were driving it were super friendly and full of answers. They said take pictures post to Instagram, Facebook, Amazon.
thanks for posting....inquiring minds want to know, was he hauling anything? (Model 3's with FSD to SoCal? )
They said they were about half full but he didn’t say what he was hauling. I asked if they could pull the Grapevine at freeway speeds and he said fully loaded they pass every truck!
Good question! I walked around to take pictures on the “driver’s side” of the cab and the engineers told us we were not allowed to go back there. But in the moment I was there I saw at least 2 SCs connected to the truck.
Is this likely the formerly wrapped red one? Or is the “red one” actually the black one from the reveal?

I think it was the original black one that got the red wrap. It has the smaller fairing above the cab IIRC.
WOW ! Look at that cool, techy Toyota in the distance. I bet it has some fabulous new ICE features in it ! Or maybe it is a Honda from the future... or ..... Ok, joking aside, I really would like to have one of these sexy cabs just to park in the driveway and upset the picky Home Owners Association. Heck, I might even like to drive it to the grocery store. Thanks for the photos.
That is very cool, wonder what the battery size is or charging time. Hope to see more of these in the near future.
My two cents.... someone needs to capture vids of this rig passing other ICE rigs going up steep grades, like the Coquhala (ada Highway from Hell) east of Hope, British Columbia and send them up to YT. Seeing is believing.. and video proof of the Tesla Semi passing other rigs going up hill will be nail in the coffin for those who can not see the future for the clouds of diesel fumes. Cheers, Hugh-SG
No kidding. So many opportunities to follow it (at a safe and respectful distance) through the mountains and shoot some video. Come on, YouTubers, let's see some Semi hillclimb action.
At first I thought this was something very different... not sure why I clicked it. I guess the internet has ruined me lol. Clean looking truck though!
