Send commands to the car from a web server

The question is simple can I send a command from a web server to the car?
I have a simple home automation system controlled by a web server called Nexa Home and if it's possible I can control the car from any switch in the house. This would open up for some fun and maybe good possibilities.

The short answer is "yes".
The long answer is that you need to use the new API, and authentication, and that this requires Teslas proprietary API-key and secrets.
These are not publicly available, and Tesla has so far been quiet about when (or if) they will open up for 3rd party development.

You can use the "unofficial" API documentation and your own login credentials. This popular Visible Tesla app does this. Here's one link: http://docs.timdorr.apiary.io/
