Does sentry or dashcam mode recording video come with audio?
Im reviewing those video clips but those videos don’t have sound. Im reviewing while im in Park

The sentry mode or dashcam mode in Tesla is useless. It does not send you any notification when the sentry mode activates so you can at least check on the camera if there is anything happen to your car.

How can it be useless if it automatically records your current or previous drive to the USB drive from 4 directions?

I believe the Tesla Model Y will send you a notification on the Tesla app if a window is broken or if a door is opened while parked, locked. This may be tied to the vehicle alarm system, not Sentry mode.

It sends me a notification on the app every time a car drives by too close to it when I have backed into a charging spot. So I believe it’s tied to sentry mode. I think there is now an option to disable the camera based threat detection but keep sentry on, I have not tried it though.
