sentry headlight flash workarounds?

I want to use sentry mode all the time, but I also don't want my car unnecessarily flashing the lights at everyone who merely walks near the car in a parking lot. It would be great if Tesla would let us turn off the flash but still record just in case something happened.

But sentry mode has been out for a while and they still haven't given us that option. So are there any clever workarounds? I'm seriously considering cutting out some kind of headlight cover and dropping it over the headlights when the car is parked.

You can keep recording people in public, but don’t capture their faces
