Sentry Mode “Exclude Home” option

I recently set up Sentry Mode and clicked the “Exclude Home” option and I’m still getting recorded events while car is parked at home. Home address is set so not sure what the issue is. I park in our homes attached garage, could car think it’s not “at home” there? Is there a way to set “Home” to where the garage is if that’s the problem? Any ideas or suggestions?

When you zoom in on the map in the nav screen, do you see your car icon located some distance from your actual home location?
You will notice that the Sentry "star" icon is red when Sentry is active. Are you saying it's red when you're parked at home?

ill have to check if the red is on when i get home tonight from work when i got in the car to go to work i had multiple "events" from the garage from when kids walked by and when garage door was opened and closed.

I got my Model Y yesterday. I set Sentry to exclude Home (worked fine on my Model 3), but it was on all night at home. How do I get it to turn off at home, after I have clicked that option?

Have you set your home location in the Nav system?

Yes, and the map shows the car is home, and the address is correct in the Location on the Tesla App. But when I go walk by the car, the red light image on the screen is activated and it says "recording."

Have you reset your system yet?

No. I just got the car yesterday. Do you mean to hold down the two buttons on the steering wheel to reset the screen?

I too have been having the same problem. Home address in Navigation is correct, Exclude Home option is selected yet it still records in my garage? I also reset my system which did not resolve the issue.

Mine seems to be working now. Sentry only is on when I'm away from home. I didn't do anything, except keep up with the latest updates. I now have 2020.44.10.1.
