Tesla Motors Club

Hey folks,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have had my model 3 since end of December 2018, and I have been to the Tesla dealership so many times I can tell you in the exact order in which they've changed the signs outside of the bathroom, so I'd like to have to not go (again) and break this once+ a month habit.

My current issue just started yesterday: I have Cruise Control/Auto Pilot, and I use SanDisk Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive 128GB (SDCZ800-128G-G46) for recording; I use Sentry Mode at my work/other places, but when I'm home, I have it off as I have a garage I park in. Both yesterday and today, I go to work (Tesla works fine), park, Sentry mode comes on, I work, then when I go to leave, my headlights are stuck "on" in auto mode (it's 4 PM, sun is out, confirmed lights go off if I choose off but come back on back in Auto mode), my car acts as if I don't have CC/AP ("cruise control is unavailable", no lane lines, no other cars showing up, view is zoomed in over my car, etc), and my AC takes 20+ minutes to finally start cooling down (I live in Phx, AZ so you can imagine how much this sucks).

I contacted Tesla Customer Service yesterday, and they said "the engineers have found that having Sentry Mode turned on is causing some issues. What they are suggesting is: Turn off Sentry mode. Remove USB drive. Allow car to sleep. Autopilot features will return after a sleep cycle." I complete this process, drive in today works great. Drive home, same thing as yesterday.

I've removed the USB and am going to do the same thing to fix my car again as I did last night, but I wanted to see if anyone was experiencing the same issues? I don't want to have to do this every night, so tomorrow I'm going to turn off Sentry mode at my work and see if it makes a difference.
