I've made it a habit to activate Sentry Mode whenever I'm forced to park near other cars. It looks like it payed off today. I got back from lunch and noticed my passenger side rear bumper corner was scraped. Reviewed the video and clearly see a woman hitting my car. She knows she did it, but didn't make any attempt to leave me a note. I've filed a complaint with local police and provided the video. Hopefully they can get me her insurance info so I can file a claim. I'd love to see the woman's face after she denies it and then they show her the video proof.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these posts!!! I hope you're able to make her accountable! Keep 'em coming!! *STILL waiting for Sentry Mode
I don't remember. I didn't notice the damage until I got back to the office, so I didn't pay attention to who was parked around me when I left lunch.
Female drivers are much less likely to leave a note than male drivers. And that’s not being sexist, it’s a fact. You can look it up.
Not to derail the topic, but I've never pulled a recording from Sentry Mode - does it keep recordings from its 'Alert' state, or does it have to go into 'Alarm'? I'm just curious how it works.
In the current firmware, it keeps both Alert and Alarm and never deletes any sentry recordings. It stops recording completely when the flash drive fills up.
No! The red recording dot on the camera icon just turns gray. Just happened to me couple days ago...or longer maybe but that's when I noticed it.
Doesn't seem so. My screen actually crashed when the drive was filled up and after deleting the files it was OK again
I googled and couldn't find any evidence of this. Could you please provide some references to back up your statement?
Now that you mentioned this, my screen has been acting funky this past week. Had to reset it twice and it reset itself once. Could it have been related to the flash drive being full? Like I said, I just noticed the gray dot couple days ago.
You might be able to go to your own insurance and have them subrogate. (I think that's the right word) Police may not get involved unless they want to file hit and run. Especially on private property. Insurance can also track down the owner.
