Sentry Mode Thumbstick - Must use Glovebox USB port?

I think you have to have the data module for the center console before any usb hub you plug into the center console will be of any use.
Kind of lame if people are selling you a center console hub and they know it will not work on the newer cars.
However the hubs for the glovebox will work . There are bunch of different video's on this from all the aftermarket
vendors selling the data modules. If you plug a hub into the center console it's being plugged into ports that have
no data capability .

Hello. Sorry just dont see the USB in the glovebox. Any guidance will be appreciated. Only see the 2 center console ones. Any trick to the glovebox one? Much appreciated.
As per user manual:

Depending on if you bought it new or used it may or may not have come with the stick attached. Also if your Model 3 came out before the 2021 model year refresh, you may not have a USB port in the glove box the first place. Your center console would be completely different (the cover doesn't slide like the refresh, but rather flips up and down).
