I don’t use sentry mode much. Twice out of a maybe 5 times I have used it, it has turned off due to “sensor error”. Both times it was for an extended period of time (over night). This happened in 2019.24.2 and 2019.28.3.1. Anyone else?

You sure the USB stick is okay? Try cleaning it out and reformatting it. Then if it happens it’s clearly a camera issue.

Maybe someone else can weigh in but never seen this error.

The first response I wanted to give you was that Sentry Mode might have been switched off due to an undocumented feature in 2019.28.3.1 where Sentry Mode now switches off when the temperature inside the cabin reaches 52 degrees Celsius (125 degrees Fahrenheit ). In prior versions the Sentry Mode alarm would trigger at that temperature. But, than I saw your remark on Sentry triggering at night, and I don't expect you to have such temperatures at night . Not sure then what happened and caused this......

Interesting find, my USB stick was not inserted, yet Sentry Mode still recorded 2 events and was still active.

I'm assuming the Sentry Mode recordings were sent to the Tesla cloud for temporary storage. Guess if there was damage to my vehicle I could reach out to Tesla support to get the clips.
