Not around here. Hopefully we are only a couple years behind California in regards to EV acceptance. Once I get my Y I am expecting lots of questions everywhere I go and giving lots of test drives.
Slightly off topic, but it looks like one way to increase EV adoption in your home state of New York is to change the law to allow Tesla to open more stores. There was a nice piece in The Atlantic published a few weeks ago on this topic:

Out of curiosity for those who have picked up their MYLR, has anyone opted to pay for the Acceleration Boost? teslas-2k-acceleration-boost-upgrade
I am curious if it is still offered and if anyone had feedback on if they liked it or not? (Maybe not the best question to ask during winter... :p )
I picked my MYLR with 19" wheels on the 19th. I floored the accelerator a couple of times. The acceleration is mind blowing. I got my fun, now I run on "chilll" mode and acceleration is one notch below standard. I am happy with the current fast acceleration, with the added benefit of good tire life. But YMMV and I would say if acceleration thrills you, you certainly should upgrade and make the most of your Tesla. I also applied to join the Beta FSD program and I have a 100 safety score. I am hoping when Tesla opens the pool, I will get to use FSD beta. I have never loved any of the many new cars I bought over the last few decades. This car is very satisfying. So much to learn, so much to customize. It is just so much fun.

For sure, this is a huge problem with adoption. The nearest delivery center is 220 miles from my house...most people won't even consider a car because of this. This is from a state that likes to advertise itself as being "green".

I have no idea if keeping tabs on this forum thread is helping or making wait anxiety worse!

For what its worth, I've been back and forth from two-week to one-month EDD ranges a couple of times now already, got to my EDD range twice only to have it pushed back each time. Delivery in Los Angeles. I hate waiting!

MYLR5 | white / Black Int | 19" | No Tow | No FSD | OD 9/5 | EDD 2/19-3/19

EDD change to 2/19-3/5 this morning. Fingers crossed!

I'm over a hundred, and if I go "upstate" where I like to travel the distance only increases. Now I wouldn't mind so much if the car was delivered truly "in spec" and not "customer is the QC, we'll get around to fixing it if he complains enough". Then there's the service issue... will I really get flat bedded 300 miles to the nearest service center???

Confirmed with Delivery Specialist, my vehicle with VIN F385 has AMD chip & Li Battery.

Delivery Appointment Confirmed Los Angeles Feb. 17, 2022 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM😄

I was surprised that like my 2013 Model S, They will deliver the Model Y to my home as we live close to the delivery center. While here they will take our trade in (Hyundai Elantra 🤮) in return. Officially a Tesla only family on Thursday!
This is all on par with most LA deliveries... VIN: Monday, Schedule Delivery: Tuesday, Pickup: 4 day window with various time options.

I'm in Las Vegas too, ordered 9/27/21 MYLR White/Black 5 seater, no FSD or tow. My EDD has been Feb 26 - Mar 26 for last 4 weeks with no change. I'll be following ya, good luck

I heard that VIN cannot legally be assigned until the vehicle rolls off the line (?). That could happen in day shift or night shift, so any time.
this is incorrect. a vin assignment occurs when a vehicle is scheduled for production. Tesla chooses not to share the vin typically until after it has been produced. They may also not choose to share it because of reworks after production.
