I know the Founders Signature editions are <100 but does anyone know where the cutoff is for 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5?

The last 1.5 was number 500. The 2.5s started in the 700s.

The 2.5 features were phased in and the new body design wasn't in place until VIN 940 or so. The intermediate cars are sometimes referred to as 2.25's.

From my memory, 600 or 601 was the first 2.0

That would be 501. I am 516 and I was the first SoCal delivered 2.0

Obviously I'm serial number 940 and have a 2.0 or a 2.25. I like the display (double din) of the 2.5 but the other exterior changes are a complete "wash" as far as I'm concerned. I would like to know what are the differences between a "true" 2.0 and my "almost" 2.5.

The new seats, PEM and sound dampening were added before the new body styling.

That's interesting because I own 506 which is a 2.0 and it was from Orange County. Was yours delivered first, but mine built first?

Yes, I know the (former) owner of 506 and mine was delivered first. They were all built at the same time and delivery was delayed for almost a month because Tesla was waiting for some clips for the new dash. So my car was built in June of 2009 but not delivered until July.

Thanks for the bit of history, do you happen to know if the previous owner bought an extended service plan. Tesla has no record of it, but it was sold to me stating it had warranty until this July.

The extended warranty would make it 6 years so should be July 2015. Did the seller not have any paperwork to back up extended warranty claim? It might just be an e-mail or maybe a credit card statement from him that he could e-mail to Tesla directly proving he paid Tesla the $5,000 at a later date.

If Tesla has no record of an extended plan then they probably didn't get it. There is some talk about letting owners of used Roadsters buy the extended plan however.

By the way, I had made an attempt a while back to document Roadster production history here:
