Drove by today to take photos but just like last month there was no change from prior month. Other than the homeless encampment on the edge of the property. That’s new.

Otherwise trenches, dirt piles, boards, caution tape, and private property signs all are the same.

"Commissioner Richárd inquired about the status of the Tesla Tenant Improvement (TI) project at 1800 E. Spring Street and expressed her concern regarding the stacking of vehicles for the Costco Gas Station at Town Center East.
Staff provided an update on the Tesla TI and confirmed that permits are pending issuance. Staff also confirmed that the property owner and their engineering consultants will be submitting plans in January 2022 to address the large quantity of stacking vehicles."

Sorry what does the line for Costco gas that often rolls out into the street blocking through traffic have to do with the Tesla project blocks away? Besides the fear that something similar could happen with growing Tesla ownership and the immediate proximity to the 405 traffic passing by.

Possibly nothing, just two separate questions the commissioner had that were asked at the same time and so were recorded together in the meeting notes? Reporting them together like that, it sounds like there could be a connection, but they could also be unrelated.

Was that was a Signal Hill council meeting?

Do you have a link to the notes?

Tesla still shows Q1 in 2022 and we’re at mid March now basically so this date will get pushed again.

Lot is basically the same. Not worth posting photos.

Debris has been cleaned up for most part. Dead plants largely gone. Homeless have been moved on. So they’ve made the site more presentable.

24/7 security is still there parked in a car on lot.

Signal / Long Beqxh - Cherry / Spring Update.

No one has posted on this one for a while so I stopped by here as well today. There has been some work done, but it’s going very, very slow. The trench has been filled back in, along with some brickwork.

See todays picture attached. You can go back a few pages to see my prior one from weeks ago. You can see changes, but not much.

No reason to drop by today but was passing by.

As with most posts for Signal Hill there has been noticeable but not notable changes since last visit.

There continues to be minor cosmetic work like laying the brickwork on one of the driveways.

More refuse has been removed and the parking lot now looks quite clean.

The biggest mess now looks to be the corner of the lot where it looks like they’re laying groundwork when the old Nissan sign stood.

That’s about it. Pictures attached.

Just drove by and there are four superchargers there now too in addition to the destination chargers. I didn’t want to stop since it was dark out. There is some green colored signage in front of the superchargers. Will have to look soon alto see what it says.

More updates.

Signage is up for Signal Hill as well as the Service entrance.

This whole gray on gray signage is a weird choice on the front of the building. Especially when the side is black on gray.

Parking lot is basically clear today. There's a small skip with some stuff in it; but otherwise the lot is free of debris.

I would expect them to do some asphalt and paint line on the lot sometime soon.

The hole with the old Nissan logo needs to be filled in somehow.

Not sure what it's like inside in terms of work to do.

Large crates that were outside earlier in the week are all gone now too.

PICTURES OF EVERYTHING ! ! !
Taken on lot and inside the buildings.

Supposed to open next month, Aug 2022

I may have missed this, but is there any word on how many supercharger stalls will be installed? This is a way more convenient location than the one on 2nd and pch. I'm really looking forward to this opening!

You missed it.

4 V3 chargers outside.
7+ wall chargers being mounted on stands outside.
4+ wall charging being mounted in service bay for tech use.

Keep in mind though when there are chargers at a service center it’s not uncommon for Tesla service to use them for cars they are working on. Public charging will be an option but could be a challenge.
