Re: pre-existing building - Yes
Re: Superchargers - I think people think that because Nashville has them

if you examine the plans, there is only 1 Supercharger (and 11 HPWC/10kW).
I wonder if the Supercharger will even be available to the public....
One of the odd things about Tesla, IMO is that they don't seem to often have public chargers at sales & service centers.

I guess I can understand it, they need one to troubleshoot cars in service but probably don’t want the traffic.

Yeah, it is understandable, its just an interesting contrast from the other automakers that seem to typically have public chargers available. Of course, those other makes have less experience with electric vehicles and often end up blocking them with gas cars.

I took some photos today of the Building in West Town Mall. The Building looks finished except for signage, but the inside is still under construction. There are not any superchargers installed yet.

Lots of plants in the parking lot, repainted stripes in a section of the lot (not in today's photos), looks like the building got repainted also (though some stonework needs to be patched or replaced as you'll see in the 2nd and 3rd photos).

The LED lights on the side of the building were on yesterday, about half the plants in the parking lot have been planted. Someone was working inside the service bay.

Still haven't seen any Tesla signage or logos other than the required permit posted on that one side door.

It doesn't look like the rumored "opening in April" will happen.

Plants are all out of pots and in the dirt now, lobby looks finished, still no charging equipment installed for the spots that have conduit.

But there was a Model S P100D parked out back with no license plate and some sort of paper in the back window (didn't look like a temp plate but might be something to that effect). Not sure if that is a loaner, a mobile techs car, a regular employees car, or an inventory car?

Some low quality photos taken from outside the lobby looking in with glare on the glass. I didn't feel like hanging around for the sun to go down.

They do not plan to make the chargers available to the general public. Only customers of the service center per a workman at site last week. Is there anyone or group that can get Tesla's ear and change this? It seems a grievous oversight not to include public charging stations.

If they were to add public charging there it would be in or on the parking garage at WTM just across the parking lot. Then you'd have better access to the food court during charging.

No reason to put it at the service center a long long walk away from the food court.

Hi All, I’m new to TMC forums. I have a 2018 Model 3 LR AWD. Been incrementally watching the construction of the Knoxville Service and Sales Center. Today I finally saw some outward branding on the front and side entrances, a string of wall chargers is up with the transformer, and there are 2 white Model S’s without plates parked by the chargers - presumably for the showroom. Must be getting close now!

On the way home from errands and the light was better for the inside. Also different view of the destination chargers, with the Model S‘s.

I posted about the S P100D already

I don't think those are for the showroom because they are older year cars. The 2nd one is a 75D, the first one is a P100D.

For the 75D to have that badging on it puts it as a 2016 or 2017. A 75D in 2019 would be called "Standard Range" and wouldn't have been badged on that part of the car. In 2020 or 2021 they just didn't make the 75D at all. It essentially got replaced by the Model 3.

I mean sure they could put one in the showroom but why bother if they want a show model why not put out a 2021 car? aka the Raven Refresh
