I bought a roadster in New Jersey and I need to have it shipped to my home in California. Does anyone have a company that they can recommend? I want to move it in an enclosed trailer. Thanks
Check out Kwik Trans http://www.transportreviews.com/company/kwiktrans-inc.asp They have enclosed trailers.
I've used Plycar and they seem to have taken good care of the vehicle each time. Plycar was what Tesla used to deliver my Roadster originally.
I have moved cars across the country many times. I find intercity transport to be the most reliable ans professional. Plycar is good and we have used them quite a few times, but they are not as professionally run as intercity. Maybe there is a trade off? Knowing the roadster against professionalism? Best of luck with your transport needs and congrats on the purchase!
8 months ago I had my car shipped from Dallas to Philadelphia, you can read more info about the company that I used. Unfortunately I can't remember what the final cost was, but I guess you can also find this info on the website. Good luck!
I'd like to resurrect this thread because I'm thinking about shipping my MS from Denver to NJ later this summer. I've gotten a few quotes for enclosed transport and they hover around $1700. Closed transport seems obviously preferred, but has anyone shipped their car cross-country on an open trailer? Am I taking a significantly greater risk by considering that option? Does anyone here have recent experiences with transporting their MS (or Roadster, I guess) and can provide any suggestions? Thanks.
