Shipping my X

Planning on shipping 2016 MX from nj to fla. Was going to use standard open car carrier with door to door service. Would appreciate any recommendations on settings or charge level, total time may be 5 days from pickup to delivery

My experience shipping cars has always been terrible. Always takes longer and there always seems to be a major issue. It’s a dog eat dog business. The lower the cost, the higher likelihood of delay, damage, etc.

Whatever you do, ensure the battery is charged to 100%.

I would not worry too much about the battery. As long as you are not obsessively checking the location of the car or running 3rd party apps, the car will go to sleep and be fine. We routinely do not drive out Teslas for weeks and have had no ill effects.
