Link? What were the main (negative) points?

Gist of it is that Barron doesn't think TSLA will be able to procure $200 / kWh batteries in time for Gen 3. (Because GM said they don't think they can get their own batteries down more than 20% from where they are now).

However, in all likelihood TSLA already pays < $200 / kWh today, or at least can get to that point in their next round of negotiations with Panasonic:

It also has the standard 'comparing with the valuations for other car-makers out there...' stuff. But that's nothing new to the market.

How are people still using GM as a measuring stick for performance? Lucky guys who have cash get to buy in today... I unfortunately can't lol.

I only have a little bit available that I was saving for if it really went down but this movement seems really silly so I may put it in just for super short term and try to catch some short term profit when people realize this article was, uh, less than intelligent.

Yes, after 30 years of intense focus they are almost producing cars as good as BMW and have actually built two generations of very good corvettes. I'm sure they have a 200+ mile EV just waiting in the famous skunk works.

Not likely, it cost them a billion $ to develop the Volt. At this point, Tesla has much better battery pricing from Panasonic, using consumer cells that they mfr millions of every year. Also Tesla has 5 to 6 times the KW capacity (and battery purchasing volume) in each of its EVs (Volt is a 16KW pack), smallest Model S is 60KW (nearly 4 times as large), 85KW is over 5 times as large, of course Tesla already has better prices than GM

I think 30seconds was being sarcastic?

TSLA looked weak in the afternoon, bouncing around $99.74 for half the day. Get ready, we'll probably gap down tomorrow.

Even with the "hit" article from Barron's today, the stock as held pretty well. Lots of support apparently.
Wouldn't surprise me that the new big institutional investors continue to provide support and push us back over $100.
I believe the days of the stock below $100 are numbered. I expect Q2 will beat guidance and demand for car is stronger than many realize.
