Shortage of Sport Wheels

Sorry but I think aeros with and without caps still look hideous. I actually think the 20" EVWheelsDirect turbines look awesome and would have gotten them if they weren't so heavy.

I prefer the turbine wheels to the 19s, and the 19s to the 18s.

Aren’t EV Wheels Direct’s turbines roughly the same weight as Tesla’s 20s? Ditto with TSportline’s turbines.

One of the guys weighed it on YouTube and they were around 4-5 lbs heavier per wheel than advertised

Ah! Good to know. Has anybody weighted the TSportline turbine 20s for Model 3? They say 31.8 in the square setup. Is it as advertised? They do seem a bit more serious than EV Wheel Direct.

I'm convinced my combo of Blue on White w/ 19s AWD is holding me back with my 3/31/16 res 6/26/18 config 7/23 switch to white...

Low volume color
Low volume interior
Arguably shortage of 19s

If you want lighter 20" wheels there are quite a few options, check this thread here.
Vorsteiner VFF-103 aftermarket 20" wheels

Tsportline makes M3115 19.75lbs and 21.45lbs in a staggered setup, reasonably priced. You can also look into Vorsteiner VFF-103, Forgestar CF series, Unplugged Performance (very expensive though).

The Unplugged UP-02 look awesome. Emailed them for more info. Anyone got them for their P3D+? Any fitment issue? I read in another thread that TSportline’s 19s cannot accommodate the lip on the P3D+ hub and that an adapter will be required.

I suspect it will have the same fitment issue unless it has that lip for the hub.

Given what they go for, I would hope they do some serious validating before putting these wheels out. I've emailed them and we'll see. I'll keep you all posted on their reply.

So I have been emailing with Unplugged Performance. After I’ve mentioned the lip and sent photos, they said that their wheels ‘are designed specifically for each application so are engineered for standard or Performance Model 3s’. I’m highly tempted as I find their UP-02 wheel in satin black gorgeous. Anyone has experience with Unplugged Performance?
