Should I keep, delay, or cancel my long range reservation?

I no longer need the M3LR, but my brother might be interested in one next year.

Ordered it on 10/28 and EDD is 12/9-12/31.

I have 3 options:

1. Cancel
2. Keep and sell
3. Delay

Not sure whether the price will be lower next year because of the potential ev tax credit.

And CA sales tax is high, so not sure whether I can even break even when selling it.

What do you guys think?

I would buy it then sell it as used Teslas are being sold for more than new ones. Just my two cents

No harm in a delay, then cancel if needed.
The used market (Tesla) has started the come back to life - high risk, little or no reward - never mind the time (=$$) it takes to flip.

I'm sure how long they'd let you delay it for if you wanted your brother to take your reservation...it also depends on when exactly next year he'd want the car. You could delay now and then if it doesn't pan out with your brother, go with one of the other two options.

At this point just delay for as long as possible, then evaluate the situation when they truly give you an ultimatum.

I wish that was true in my case. I was suppose to have my car by Christmas! Now they pushed it back to February and I had it ordered first week in September.
