found this on the delivery day with other issues. Filed a due bill. A tesla service advisor said they might repaint the whole fender. However, that may also rise the risk of being worse. Any idea? Positive or negative experience with tesla body shop?

I also got a curb rash on one of those 18inch aero wheels. Tesla offer $350 for a brand new one and another $50 labor. Some shop offer $125 to refresh it. What should I do with this?

Just have it refinished. It should look perfect when done.

To get back on topic, I’d just not accept a car that needed a fender re-spray. Bit late now, of course.

Let them replace the fender or respray it. That looks pretty obvious.

Get the curb rash fixed, no need to pay $400 for a new wheel

I have the black rims on my X. I just sand and paint the bad spots and spray them. Of course matt black is easy...

Giant paint run. I would see if a local retailer could wet sand it out. Probably won’t be able too, but won’t hurt trying before respraying

Curb rash is so common with the stock tires. I wouldn't do repairs until the tires are replaced with some that offer some protection to the rims.

They should be able to replace the fender if the repaint doesn’t come out to satisfaction. If it’s the actual fender metal to blame.

    refinish the wheel.
